Every year the Amsterdam Salesforce World Tour grows bigger and bigger. Whereas there were 5,000 attendees last year, this year the number increased to over 7,000.  I have worked in many software ecosystems, but I must admit that Salesforce does things differently, which makes a difference!

Beethree Booth at Salesforce World Tour 2017

Salesforce makes their World Tour stand out by making sure that most of the speakers are actual customers, giving them a platform to share their stories. If this were another event, software vendors would seize the opportunity to share their new speeds and feeds. Well, Salesforce isn’t just any other vendor. It thrives on customer success and spreads the “Ohana” feeling (Ohana is the Hawaiian word for family). They value their success based on their customers’ success with their cloud products.

Salesforce makes a difference by using their events to address topics like gender equality, equal rights, and other pressing social issues. They even have their own Chief Equality Officer, Tony Prophet.

At Beethree, we don’t have a Chief Equality Officer but we do strive for equal rights regardless of sex, age, race, or religion. Like Salesforce, we believe that we should be using our business as a force for good and are very proud to be a certified B-Corp!

We believe that the only way forward is when corporations contribute beyond themselves. It’s not just about making a profit, it’s about making our world a better place! One step at a time.

At the World Tour this year, Beethree was proudly represented by 25 of our finest consultants. It was great to see so many Beethree professionals active all over the show floor. You could find our team at the Partner Theater, Trailhead Zone, and Showground. Plus, Martijn Schwarzer, our MVP, stole the show with his keynote speech!

It’s hard not to show our enthusiasm for Salesforce technology and its ecosystem. It was a pleasure being next to our new partner FinancialForce on the showground and to have our joint customer Guidion present. Our speaking slot was filled by Christof Zürn from our Design Thinking Center, who took the chance to speak about Design Thinking as a driver for innovation!

Beethree was also well represented in the Trailhead Zone. Leo Alves, our Senior Technical Consultant shed some light on “Building Mobile Apps on App Cloud”, Martijn Schwärzer, Senior Solution Engineer, gave a demo on “App Cloud Overview”, and our Senior Consultant Michael Hardenbol gave a presentation on “Migrating to Lightning Experience”, on best practices for moving customers to the Salesforce Lightning Experience.

Now, over a month later, we have followed up on all the leads and new contacts from the Tour. Now we’re contemplating the investment of becoming a platinum sponsor for the Salesforce World Tour 2017…. Was it worth it? YES, every bit! Tired but inspired!
