Here at Beethree, we are very proud to announce that we have made the 2017 list of Best Workplaces! What does this mean, you ask? Well, it means that we have met the rigorous standards set by Great Place to Work® to join the ranks of other awesome places to work. Beethree was listed 7th in the category Medium Sized Workplaces.

Even though we know we have a great culture, full of many things that make working at Beethree wonderful, this is just the pat on the back you need sometimes. We work hard at Beethree. Not only do we strive to provide top-notch service to our clients, we also strive to make our company one that our team members love working for. We want to be a place where our employees can trust one another, take pride in their work, and most of all, enjoy the work they do together.

So, you may be asking, what can I do to improve my organization’s workplace?

A good first step, if you haven’t done so already, is to establish a set of values that you can build your culture around. By defining your culture, your team can begin to live it. Having a consistent brand story is as much of an internal goal, as it is external. When all else fails, you can always go back to these values to find a solution to any business or staff challenge.

Listen to your team and build trust. This is probably the most important part of establishing A Great Place to Work. By encouraging open and honest feedback, you and your staff can grow together. When your team feels that they are a part of the solution, a greater sense of pride will follow.

In this day and age, work is about more than just making money. It should serve a greater purpose in your team’s life. Immerse new employees in your culture as soon as they start. Make sure you have team bonding activities that everyone can be involved in. This creates a “family feeling” between colleagues, which creates a more welcoming workplace.

What did we do to deserve this award?

We work like friends and between friends there is no hierarchy. By minimizing this, we share responsibility, which includes recognition and blame. Beethree has also established the norm of open communication in our organization. The only way to solve a problem is by tackling it head-on, so that’s exactly what we do.

At Beethree we do business with our hearts. Companies have an increasing role in society to take part in something bigger than themselves. As a team, we make value sustainability. We’ve made our office P.E.T. free, reducing the amount of plastic waste. Our teams work and play together, from participating in the Kika Charity Run to team outings. We are proud to be a certified B Corporation. B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B-Lab to meet standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

In the end, everything comes back to delivering excellence. There is no I in team. By helping one another and being free to ask for help, we can provide a service that is unmatchable. And we do so with the utmost integrity.

Being named A Great Place to Work is just a step in the right direction. But moving forward, there has to  be continuous effort to improve the working conditions of our workplace.
